| | One-Day Drugs Awareness Seminar | | General Information: | The one-day Drugs Awareness Seminar from People in Vision aims to provide a broad knowledge and understanding of issues relating to drugs and substance misuse, whether legal or illegal. This seminar is suitable to a wide range of learners as an initial introduction to community groups, parents, carers, volunteers and professionals who may work with youth and/or users. The seminars are normally offered to agencies for delivery to groups of up to 15 participants. This is a very cost-effective solution, with the extra benefit of using a location that suits you best. All attendees receive a workbook with notes that can be kept for reference and an attendance certificate afterwards. | | Learning Approach: | | The programme model is interactive – using discussion, quizzes, self-assessment tests etc. – and is presented using multi-media aids, such as videos, PowerPoint presentations, drugs box, drugs paraphernalia. Typically the seminar is designed for delivery in one day (or two half days) – approximately five to six training hours. However, these seminars can be delivered in different formats and content specifications, depending on specific target groups. | | Pricing: | £479 per day for a group of up to 15 people (includes Workbooks and Certificates), plus travel expenses. Prices may be subject to change, depending on the circumstances.
