This course in particular is widely used to support such professionals in achieving their DANOS competences, also providing comprehensive 'underpinning knowledge' for the (SVQ) NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. This includes drugs workers, counsellors, outreach workers, volunteers, nurses, social workers, police and prison officers.

| | DANOS Standards: | The Certificate in Responding to Substance Misuse has been mapped to the DANOS standards. It helps people to develop their knowledge, skills and competence in the following DANOS units: AA1, AA3, AA4, AB2, AB5, AC1, AD1, AF2, also including HSC330, HSC3111, HSC33, as well as elements of various other units.
