This course in particular is widely used to support such professionals in achieving their DANOS competences, also providing comprehensive 'underpinning knowledge' for the (SVQ) NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. This includes drugs workers, counsellors, outreach workers, volunteers, nurses, social workers, police and prison officers.

It helps people to develop their knowledge, skills and competence in the following DANOS units: AA1, AA3, AA4, AB2, AB5, AC1, AD1, AF2, also including HSC330, HSC3111, HSC33, as well as elements of various other units.
