People in Vision offer training programmes in drugs awareness and substance misuse. Courses are part-time and discuss both legal and illegal substances, covering a wide variety of recreational drug use. The training is serving drug and alcohol services and any other agencies working with vulnerable or young clients. Training is offered via interactive seminars, through "correspondence learning", or training is delivered via "blended learning", to include face-to-face tutor contact, and "group teaching". The required study results of the certificate programmes can be achieved through personal study with tutor support throughout, leading to nationally accredited certificates at Levels 2 and 3. DANOS - Drugs and Alcohol National Occupational Standards These standards specify the standards of performance that people in the drugs and alcohol field should be working to. They also describe the knowledge and skills workers need in order to perform to the required standard.
